Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of The Funhouse, with primary responsibility for managing the organization’s day-to-day activities and operations, spearheading the organization’s fundraising efforts, directing and coordinating the work of a professional staff, and serving as the primary spokesperson.
The Executive Director must be an entrepreneurial leader and effective communicator, able to convey The Funhouse mission and activities effectively across a diverse constituency. The Director will guide the development of an annual budget, establish annual goals and conduct weekly coordination meetings with the staff. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (or comparable work/life experience), familiarity with fundraising and/or donor outreach, and a passion for youth development. Occasional evening and weekend work required for special events.
