Kids' Chorus is for all kids in grades 1-5 who like to sing. We sing both popular and traditional well-known favorites, and kid's suggestions and ideas are always considered. The Kids' Chorus is known for its presence in the community and has performed at important events like the Christmas Tree Lighting on the Village Green, Orcas Choral Society events, and the Music Advocacy Group Benefit Concert! MAG contributes to the Funhouse to help support Kids' Chorus, and you only need to apply for a scholarship to participate for free:) Also, kids who are already enrolled in the Funhouse After-school Program may join for free. Kids can just let Miss Mary know they want to be in the group, and she will add them to the list.
*Miss Mary will pick the kids up at the school on Thursdays at dismissal and bring them to the Funhouse for Kids' Chorus.
Kids' Chorus is a collaboration between the Music Advocacy Group and the Funhouse Commons, and MAG funds through the San Juan County Community Access Grant are helping support the program. Visit www.oimag.org to learn more. -
Club Create is a continuation of our awesome "Camp Create" that offers kids in grades 4-8 a hodgepodge of fun experiences and a place to feel like they belong. Club Create thrives because each kid has a unique approach to every activity. We value how everyone brings something different and inspiring to the group dynamic and collective creativity.
We make art of all sorts, explore different crafts projects, cook and bake, drum, share stories, games, laughs, and more. Some projects that we did this past summer include: painting and collage, building with popsicle sticks and glue guns (our favorite!), sew lavender pillows, record podcasts, play games, go on field trips, bucket drumming, and the list goes on!We may even fit in a few field trips this Fall!
